11.3 billion is the staggering cost of the US invasion of Iran so far. The human cost according to the Pentagon is seven American serviceman giving their last drops of blood in support of the nation. In Iran, there is mourning for deaths in an elementary school that the Pentagon says was an early mistake that the US targeted thinking it was a military facility. At home, despite the release of millions of barrels of oil from the strategic reserve, gas prices remain on average $.40 higher than when they dipped to an affordable level.
Flag types may be restricted at public schools, after the New Hampshire House passed legislation mirroring the Statehouse. Under the bill, only the US flag, state flag, and POW MIA flags would be allowed. there are exceptions under house bill 1132, including school flags and flags representing a town or city. Opponents lost the day.
The public gets a chance to weigh in on a massive development in Newington. It’s the Torrington properties plan called Seacoast Landing. And part of it includes demolishing the now empty mall at Fox run. The company needs what is called a tax incremental financing plan. And while the overall proposal has received town planning board approval, multiple public hearings are planned on the TIF proposal. The first public airing of the proposal is to be held in April, on the 11th.
A good ending for three fisherman in the water from there sinking boat in Maine. The Coast Guard says the 40 foot vessel had been taking on water and sinking south of Boothbay Harbor. when the Coast Guard arrived, they found that none of them had. life jackets or life-rafts on board, and one of them suffered from hypothermia, while the others were not injured.
