Weather forecasters are predicting fairly chilly temperatures to start the week, with sunshine and I have 28°. that will hold through Wednesday.
President Trump is due to brief Congress this week about the attacks on Iran that took place over the weekend. The actions by the US and Israel wound up causing the deaths of the controversial Iranian supreme leader Khamenei, but it also resulted in deaths of three members of the US Armed Forces, As Trump pointed out to to the New York Times, the attacks in Iran could take several weeks. Trump pointed out that “America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war against basically civilization.”
New England members of Congress have expressed sympathy with the families of the servicemen who died during the attacks. from NH Senator Maggie Hassan, “My heart goes out to the families of the three members of our Armed Forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice and service to our country, and I am praying for the recovery of those injured.” The state’s senior US senator Jeanne Shaheen said “I am deeply saddened to learn of the deaths of three US service members during operations in Iran. They courageously laid down their lives in service to our country They are in my thoughts along with their families and all American Personnel in the region.”
A US submarine, the USS North Dakota is returning to its combat ready duty, undocking from the Portsmouth Naval shipyard. Shipyard Commander Captain Jesse Nice in a statement said, the execution of Submarine maintenance with excellence is fundamental to ensuring our Fleet stands as the world’s Premiere warfighting force, ready capable and unmatched. He said North Dakota successful undocking represents the coordinated effort across the shipyard to return a combat ready asset back to the fleet. USS North Dakota is a Virginia class sub.
First Responders in Maine have taken a 9-year-old girl to the hospital, after she was found unconscious on a ski trail at the Black Mountain Resort in Rumford. The girl was found unconscious on the trail, and she was stabilized with possible head trauma. The exact cause of the incident is not known since there were no witnesses
We’ve heard of road rage, but blizzard rage? It happened in New York City when a man buried his neighbor’s vehicle in snow. the incident was caught on camera with 90,000 social media views. It apparently arose from a neighbor’s dispute, when the blizzard rage man allegedly harassed a family for a year. This time, the aggressive neighbor stopped once but next morning proceeding to throw more snow on the SUV. It took that family about 2 hours to shovel the car out, and the alleged affected neighbors is calling the actions vandalism and filing a criminal complaint against the shoveler.
