Beach takeovers are the social media events of the summer of 2026. They started in Hampton Beach New Hampshire, with social media posts that brought hundreds to the resort town. Unfortunately, for Police, it also resulted in alcohol use, fights, and the need to make some 50 arrests as a consequence. They’ve also happened in Rhode Island, and New England Police say they’re concerned about beach takeovers reaching their shores.
Graham Platner is if you pardon the expression, locked and loaded for the upcoming general election against US Senator Susan Collins in Maine. Graham Platner strolled into his nomination as a Democrat against the non-campaigning governor Janet Mills.
And Mainers may get another dose of the feisty, republican former governor Paul LePage. He took a break of sorts in Florida, then returned to compete in the second congressional district in the state.
One of the latest scams involves damage to childcare providers. In it, according to the federal trade commission, the thieves send fake checks to the centers and ask for refunds from overpayments that they claim. Then, of course, the check bounce. and the scammers pointed out that the providers need to take action quickly to help parents.
Losing your home is tragic enough. Losing some of your household pets in it adds to that tragedy. That’s what a Haverhill New Hampshire family is going through after fire destroyed theirs and killed several pet cats.
