News in Brief

It took 33 years and the work of three police departments working a cold case, and finally there’s been an arrest in the murder of a Kittery Maine woman back in 1993.
First, it was a ruckus at Hampton Beach New Hampshire with the arrests there and and a Rhode Island Beach with more there. Now, Hull, Massachusetts police are sounding the alarm about the possibility of a beach takeover sparked by social media posts.
Karen Read of Massachusetts is now suing both State and Canton police. She was cleared of murder of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe.
Swamped by reporters in Washington, Democratic US Senate candidate Graham Platner has shortened a campaign trip there and returned to Maine.
Former national security advisor, John Bolton apparently will plead guilty to allegedly unlawfully, retaining classified information during President Trump’s first term.
