A travel advisory. The busy I-95 the Piscataqua River Bridge between New Hampshire and Maine will undergo inspection work through May 21. Inspection crews will be using the shoulders of the bridge, so motorists should be aware of that. Inspections will Take place Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
19 Americans with exposure to a virus are being kept in quarantine in Omaha, Nebraska. Three fatalities and a suspected two more were aboard MV Hondius cruises ship involved in the Hantavirus.
Meanwhile, the state of New Hampshire is working with federal officials to see if the two New Hampshire people can be returned to the state and monitored.
The alleged shooter at Memorial Drive in Cambridge is hospitalized after firing off 50 to 60 rounds from an automatic rifle. 46-year-old Tyler Brown Is accused of the crime from the middle of the roadway. Bullets seriously injured the driver of an MBTA ride bus, and a sedan driver.
Maine is holding a hearing today on whether some names on a petition for a statewide referendum on transgender sports are invalid. It’s a petition named an act to designate school sports participation. and facilities by sex. If enacted, sex at birth will determine school athletes right to girls’school sports.
Maine government officials say that relief checks due to qualified residents in Maine should go out in July. That’s according to the Maine revenue service which is distributing $300 to individuals and $600 to married couples. The state says you must make less than $50,000 a year as an individual or $100,000 as a couple.
While negotiations to end the war in Iran are in stalemate, President Trump is expected to urge China’s president Xi to intervene in the war. Trump will be. meeting him in person in Beijing in talks involving Iran, Taiwan, AI and nuclear weapons.
