The coast is clear at least for now for Graham Platner and his campaign to unseat five term Republican US Senator Susan Collins of Maine. That’s after Democratic governor Janet Mills decided to drop out of the race against him.
Legislation in New Hampshire would restrict certain flags from being flown at public schools in the Granite state. Right now, the bill has passed in The house and is now in the hands of the State Senate. And this week,v protesters gathered outside the State House to protest legislation that would only permit Old Glory, New Hampshire, state flags, and POW MIA flags to be flown outside the schools.
New Hampshire could wind up a prime location for future small nuclear power plants. While the possibility of developing them is years away, the legislature., at least House and Senate negotiators, have put their stamp of approval on the concept.
Basketball fans will be glued to their TV sets this Sunday when game seven of the NBA semifinals takes place between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers. It was another night for the Philadelphia team to defeat the Celtics by a score of 106 to 93, tying the series at three apiece and making game seven winner take all in the semifinals. That game will be in Boston.
It seems like the power of a TV station can reverse a banks refusal to reimburse a fraud impacted couple from Massachusetts. They were victims of a check cashing scheme that hit their account for $40,000 and while Santander bank said it was too late to make a claim, NBC10 Boston. in their Boston response investigation intervened on behalf of the Hendersons, a Foxboro couple. After their investigation revealed the source of the fraud, the TV station presented their findings to Santander, which promptly refunded their lost money.
