This is touchdown day for the four astronauts aboard the Artemis,
2 spacecraft. After looping around the moon, they will splash
down in the Pacific Ocean after hurtling through earth’s, fiery
atmosphere.

The president’s doubts about the shaky cease fire with Iran could
come to the surface today as talks begin in Islamabad Pakistan.
Vice President Vance will be there with the US delegation.

Finally, legislation to slap a stronger license suspension on New
Hampshire drivers who don’t agree to a blood alcohol test has
passed in the house. It will impose a nine month suspension to
replace the in place six month one. It’s a compromise when
the governor Kelly Ayotte put forward her plan to suspend licenses for a year.

20 year-old Gabriel Vestal from Rochester New Hampshire has
been charged with driving under the influence after a fatal collision with a FedEx truck in Vermont. Vermont State police say that Vestal himself caused the crash that killed the FedEx driver.

A $500,000 home in New Hampshire can face
annual property tax bills ranging from about $1,310 to more than
$18,270 depending on the community, according to a new
analysis from the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute. Property
tax rates vary widely across cities and towns.

As Americans file their taxes this month, scammers are deploying
an onslaught of attacks – often enhanced by artificial intelligence
– designed to steal people’s money,” said Senator Hassan. “I
encourage all taxpayers to review the tips in this bipartisan scams
alert so that they can stay vigilant and protect their identities and
accounts.”

Qualified Maine residents will be getting their $300 relief checks.
That, after the Legislature approved the affordability checks in
the final budget. While the original money will be taken out of a
budget surplus, a millionaires tax will be tacked onto those
fortunate enough to make enough. The budget squeaked through
both the Maine house and state Senate, and Governor Janet Mills
says she will sign it.

They are cute, but cottontail rabbits are spreading themselves
more widely in Maine. It all began in Kittery, when the eastern
cottontail bunny was spotted first in 2017. The state
Department of inland. fisheries and wildlife efforts to
trap them failed, and they have very populated anyway. The state
agency meanwhile is working to boost the population of the native
rabbits.

If you don’t like the new Maine license plate featuring the pine tree
on it, you can get yours plain. About 100,000 Maine drivers are
opting for that. It features plain white background and blue lettering between
Maine up top and vacation land at the bottom of the plate.
