DNA was the giveaway that led to the arrest finally of the
northeast’s possibly worst serial killer. The speck was attached to a
pizza crust that matched a victim’s, one of eight young women
strangled by an architect on Long Island.
Getting the crime portion of this news complete, the husband of a
woman who went overboard in the Bahamas, has been arrested in her death. The 59-year-old has not been identified but 55-year-old Lynette Hooker disappeared from the 8 foot motor boat the two were traveling in.
It looks like Maine residents will be getting $300 relief checks
thanks to the legislature. The House passed a
supplemental budget with a 2% millionaires tax attached, to
provide the money. The state surplus of $293 million will be used
to pay for the program for 514,000 Maine residents.
New Hampshire Legislature is considering a Senate bill aimed at
providing parents with the opportunity to challenge written
material they consider harmful to their children in public schools.
Governor Kelly Ayotte has vetoed former legislation.
12 year old seventh grader Rynn Haley wants to start the the
middle school lacrosse season against a Concord school this April.
The problem is, the young lady is. trapped by a law that requires
school athletes to play on teams based on their biological birth.
Oyster River does have an all girls team, but she says that her
experience playing on boys recreation teams means she’s up to
the physical challenge.
How is the two week cease-fire between the US and Iran going?
Well, tentatively according to observers following the so-called
paused war. The US demanded Strait of Hormuz is still closed
by Iran, and negotiations to end the month long conflict are
tentatively set for Islamabad.
