Weather forecasters say we should find high temperatures
reaching 48° today after yesterday’s sunny skies and highs in the
60s. But they also say that we’ll see rain in the air and that could
hold for the next several days.

President Trump has threatened Iran with more damage if the
Strait of Hormuz is not reopened for business. Oil
wells, electric generating plants, and the seizing of Karg Island
.

And gas prices in some parts of the country have reached four
dollars a gallon, $3.75 at my last check. And airlines say that.
travelers may find that fares could rise with the surge in fuel
prices.

Steven Murphy’s defense attorneys say that no witness has ever
said he was involved in abuse at the Youth Detention Center in
Manchester. Or, that any such abuse happened in the first place.
Murphy was cleared of three charges of sex assault of
the minor, and a jury couldn’t reach a decision on other charges
against him. So Murphy will face his third trial accused of being
accomplice to an assault there.

We all remember recess in our elementary school days, right?
Well, New Hampshire is considering mandating recess for all
students through eighth grade. Recess would be considered.
instructional time if instituted in public schools. Legislation has
been introduced by state Senator Victoria Sullivan of Manchester.

Beach erosion on Massachusetts North Shore and South Shore
areas has state officials considering what to do about flooding from
storms hitting those areas. One idea of being floated so to speak is
buying out homes in flood prone areas. From Governor Maura Healeym
“Our administration has been about supporting communities,
supporting coastal communities to make sure they have the
infrastructure in place to combat climate change,”

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows has validated citizen petitions to essentially ban transgender athletes from participating in girls sports. That petition drive started late in 2025,
with 79,000+ names, but a lawsuit. in Cumberland
County Superior Court questions the validity of the petition.
