Disgruntled Hampton New Hampshire taxpayers have won a round in their battle against what they say are unfair property tax evaluations. After losing their case in Superior Court, the Hampton taxpayers group took their case to the state Supreme Court. Now, the state of New Hampshire has ordered Hampton to conduct another property reevaluation.

No kings protests aimed at President Trump have taken place across the nation, with, for instance, Boston, seeing hundreds of thousands carrying signs and marching to Boston Common. New Hampshire and Maine joined the protests with some 50 cities and hosting no kings rallies.

Picklegate, the issue of one man in Manchester selling pickles out of his home, has now reached the legislature. The city of Manchester had issued a cease and desist order against the resident. Senate bill 418, is aimed at preventing any municipality stopping any Homestead food products for personal use. Now that Bill goes to The House environment and agriculture committee for a hearing tomorrow.

Applications for Maine’s new paid family and medical leave Law will be open today to residents. It will provide Up to three months of partial wage assistance. Some of the reasons for the benefits include health conditions, preventing them from working, family violence, causing a member to seek safety, and parental care for babies.

The president is allowing Russian oil to reach oil starved Cuba. The administration had blocked Russian ships, but have now changed the policy. The president is also suggesting American troops taking Karg Island off Iran to reopen the strait of Hormuz, closed by that country at war with the US.

Airport wait times should be shrinking shortly, because transportation safety administration workers will finally be paid. That’s because of an executive order from President Trump. At the same time, the administration is keeping ICE workers on duty in airports.
