Kelsey Fitzsimmons’ defense attorney and the prosecution lawyer present their final arguments in her assault trial in Massachusetts today. She was the last one to testify in her defense of her actions last summer when she was shot in a confrontation with police officers at her home in North Andover.
Most university of New Hampshire students in a recent poll opposed allowing guns on campus. Nevertheless, house bill 1793, if passed, would prohibit the ban of firearms on public colleges and universities in New Hampshire.
It is sort of an embarrassment of riches. That is, federal funding amounting to $21 million for mental health agencies in New Hampshire. It flowed through the New Hampshire Executive Council, and now the Go North funding will go to the numerous combined community mental health centers in the state. I spoke to the executive Director of NAMINH, Susan Stearns, about the issue of teen mental health and suicides in the age group. You can hear her interview Monday here.
Anyone who had the pleasure of eating and drinking at the top of the hub in Boston, hopefully savored it. because now, the Prudential tower top will only be open for private parties, not the public. so the Beacon Bistro and Stratus will only be open until April 21.
