EXTRA:  It was a father who shot his wife in the western New Hampshire town of Troy. And he was shot by police on the Piscataqua River Bridge between New Hampshire and Maine after that incident. His son, an eight-year-old was found in back of his vehicle afterwards. Maine State Police are investigating, and in this audio, update the latest in this tragedy.

A man from the southern part of New Hampshire has died from the rare eastern equine encephalitis infection. That has been made public by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. The disease is carried by mosquitoes. And 1/3 of those bitten die, while others can suffer severe central nervous system damage. The victim has been identified as an adult, but not identified. This is the first case of triple E in the state in 10 years.  Health officials stress that people working outdoors should wear long sleeve clothing, and avoid outside activities at night.

Most of the voters in Bedford New Hampshire approved what is known as an active threat system.
