UPDATE: Common Man for Ukraine enters country with aid

We cross the Ukraine border today for the ninth time.

This trip in numbers?

  • 12 hours of driving today
  • 2.5-day trip to the first child safe house we’ll visit
  • 9 trucks in the humanitarian aid convoy
  • 18 TONS of food to be delivered
  • 9 aid delivery sites, including
  • 3 schools, where
  • 380 children are living to survive the war

All of this adds up to doing a lot of good during deeply challenging times.

Together, we’re more than the sum of our parts.

Everything we do, we do for the children. 

Tomorrow, our New Hampshire-based co-founders — Alex, Lisa, Susan, and Steve — will board a flight from Boston’s Logan Airport and start their 9th humanitarian relief trip to Ukraine since Russia’s expanded invasion in February 2022. 

During that time, Common Man for Ukraine’s grassroots nonprofit team has delivered nearly 2 MILLION pounds of food to Ukrainian children living in orphanages and safe houses in the war zone. 

We’ve provided trauma counseling programming to more than 500 children during that time as well.

It’s on to the State Senate for another try at legalizing marijuana sales in New Hampshire

The Rochester man shot during an argument with a neighbor over snowblowing, is now in critical condition in the hospital

And unnamed school employee in Newmarket is the target of an investigation for alleged possession of child sexual abuse images.

Both Maine Senators Susan Collins and Angus King want to see brain scans for the military

Monday is the 128 Boston marathon from Hopkinton.

Congratulations to Ruby & Peter! They were the winners of the VIP Police Package from the New Franklin School PTO fundraising auction. The package  included a ride to school in a police car, a tour of the station, and a trading card display case.
