The case for the prosecution is against Victor Malavet, who is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in 2021. After receiving a note that the jury couldn’t reach a decision, judge Daniel Saint Hillaire said,

“ If this case has to be tried over again, the next jury won’t be any more intelligent than you are.“

Supporters of Karen Read in Massachusetts have been staging enthusiastic and noisy demonstrations in her behalf.

As the war in Ukraine and Russia continues to burn, a flamethrower drone invented by Ukraine is being used against Russian troops.

Breaking: The school Year has barely begun and there’s been an active shooter causing injuries in northeastern Georgia. Ambulances were at the scene of the incident at Appalachee high school in Winder Georgia.  Students were gathered at a field nearby, and parents cleared to pick them up.

From the Barrow county sheriff’s office,

“Casualties have been reported, however details on the number or their conditions is not available at this time.”

The alleged shooter is in police custody at this time. CNN reports there’s a suspect in custody.

EXTRA:  It was a father who shot his wife in the western New Hampshire town of Troy. And he was shot by police on the Piscataqua River Bridge between New Hampshire and Maine after that incident. His son, an eight-year-old was found in back of his vehicle afterwards. Maine State Police are investigating, and in this audio, update the latest in this tragedy.

A man from the southern part of New Hampshire has died from the rare eastern equine encephalitis infection. That has been made public by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. The disease is carried by mosquitoes. And 1/3 of those bitten die, while others can suffer severe central nervous system damage. The victim has been identified as an adult, but not identified. This is the first case of triple E in the state in 10 years.  Health officials stress that people working outdoors should wear long sleeve clothing, and avoid outside activities at night.
