Me Hamming it up on the patio

Amateur radio operators popularly named as hams, celebrated submarines at two seacoast locations this past weekend. One collected contacts from albacore Park in Portsmouth. Another marked a memorial for the submarine Thresher disaster in 1962. He used a generator to transmit right by the Thresher memorial at the Kittery traffic circle. All the ham operators in the nation are gearing up for what they call the annual field day later this month. A licensed ham myself, W1FSY I had my own one person field day outside recently.
