Tax day, April 15. That’s when federal taxes are due to be filed by midnight or filed for an extension.

President Trump considers the war against Iran nearly over, even as the US Navy blockades Iranian ports from operating. As Trump was quoted as saying, the war is very nearly over, and the the military says that its blockade has been fully implemented. And while Trump has told the New York Post that more talks with Iran could be happening within the next couple of days, mediating country Pakistan is working too facilitate the end of the war through negotiations.


It will now be up to a referendum by Maine voters to decide whether transgender girls should be allowed to play on girls school sports teams. That’s after the legislature opted to send the issue to voters after they decided not to adopt a citizen initiative.

As New Hampshire boaters celebrate the ice out of big Lake Winnipesaukee, there is one hazard to navigation. A submerged truck that broke through the ice during the winter, will be hauled out from the lake. it’s owner has been cooperating with The state afterwards, and is not expected to face a fine.

It is up to a New Hampshire legislative committee to decide whether new evidence can be presented that might exonerate a convicted person. It is part of house bill1422, which opponent say is unnecessary because as it is, prosecutors in a case, have a requirement to claim any verdict is invalid by presenting new evidence.

 U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH), a senior member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, has met with federal law enforcement agents in California and discussed efforts to counter drug trafficking, terrorism, and other national security threats at the Southern border.

Independence Day, July 4 isn’t too far off. And this nation is celebrating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence. One city, Philadelphia is the home of that declaration and is preparing for a massive celebration this summer.
