Light snow has amounted to a plowable amount of the white stuff overnight, that’s led to stick roads, reduction in the speed limit on the Maine turnpike, and many school opening delays today. Some of that might melt, according to weather forecasters who say that the temperatures should be higher than freezing tomorrow.
Hundreds of people in Iran have been killed in this the fourth day of an attack between the US and Israel. And six US service members have also died according to the Pentagon. President Trump has said that he is prepared to continue the assault with what he says are. a virtually unlimited stock of ammunitions and prepositioned high grade weaponry.
Iran has retaliated against the strikes, especially against Israel, which participated with the US. The White House says some 9000 Americans have been evacuated from the Middle East.
The proposal for a statewide income tax in New Hampshire has not been received well universally. In fact, the proposed 3–3 split between income taxes a state property tax has drawn opposition from both Democrats and Republicans. Supporters say the proposed tax would raise $1 billion for education in New Hampshire. Opponents say The idea will receive attention in this fall’s election season. Its’s got plenty of exemptions that would cover all but the wealthiest taxpayers in the state.
Maine US Senator Susan Collins is seeking a sixth term as a republican. But already there are those lined up to oppose that. One of them is. Graham Platner, a combat veteran and oyster farmer, a democrat who has seen his poll numbers increase, He has grabbed an endorsement from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and others.
A 21,000,000 gallon reservoir atop Pat’s Peak in Henniker, New Hampshire is expected to increase snowmaking capability at the skiing facility. it’s part of a project that also involves electrical improvements and more pumping capacity. 200 plus snow guns will be working during optimal temperatures, and it has received approval by New Hampshire’s Environmental Protection Department to proceed.
