morning. While snow is not expected to last long, it may be
briefly heavy at times before winding down. With the heaviest snow
occurring during the morning commute, travelers should give
themselves extra time to reach their destination and leave plenty
of stopping distance between other vehicles as roads become snow
covered.

New England utility repair crews are helping restore power to hard hit southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. That state received up to 37+ inches, highest recorded in history there. Massachusetts Governor Moore Haley, put it this way.

26-year-old Cullan Zeke Daly faces second-degree attempted murder charges in his shooting at a border patrol agent in New Hampshire. The incident unfolded In Stewartstown Saturday night, when the man arrived at a border crossing in northern Pittsburg. It was closed. Daly allegedly fired when the border patrol agent exited his vehicle. The agent fired back and Daly has been hospitalized under guard. The agent was not injured.
Two groups are joining the opposition to the Trump administration Suit, that is demanding voter lists from Six states, including New Hampshire, the only one affected in New England. Secretary of State. David Scanlan wants the suit dismissed. All six states are alleged to have violated the civil rights act.
From NH Governor Kelly Ayotte: “During my trip to Washington last week, I had productive discussions with Secretary Kristi Noem, and I’m pleased to announce that the Department of Homeland Security will not move forward with the proposed ICE facility in Merrimack,” Ayotte said. “I thank Secretary Noem for hearing the concerns of the Town of Merrimack and for the continued cooperation between DHS and New Hampshire law enforcement to secure our northern border, keep dangerous criminals off our streets, and ensure our communities are safe.”
Summertime and the visiting is more expensive, in York Maine. That’s because selectmen in town increased parking fees to $60 for residents and $20 more for non-residents. If you’re a senior, the parking permit will cost you 30 bucks. The town office will be issuing permits soon, so this action takes place in time for those new ones to be printed.
Portland, Maine’s decision not to open warming shelters during this recent blizzard has angered homeless people and advocates. The conditions for opening them include 10 inches or more of snow and temperatures 15 or below. A spokesperson said that those conditions didn’t reach the temperature and precipitation thresholds in those cities.
