New Hampshire US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, recently returning from a trip to Ukraine accuses Russia’s president with stringing along president Trump. She was the top Democrat leading a delegation to the invaded country in a media call this week, Shaheen called for tough sanctions against Russia, in order to bring it to the negotiating table with Ukraine and Trump. She said, the path to peace with Russia requires a sustained pressure on Vladimir Putin, not pressure on Ukraine to concede its sovereignty. Shaheen is ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
No ICE New Hampshire is the theme of an upcoming protest This Saturday in Merrimack. That’s the town at the heart of a controversial plan to locate a detention center in a warehouse there. This week, White House Press secretary Caroline Levitt, a new Hampshire native, backed the need for such centers, saying
“There are a lot more illegal alien criminals left in our homeland. That includes in New England.”
One York County Maine corrections employee has been released from ICE detention. He was grabbed by immigration and customs enforcement officials while on his way to an appointment in Scarborough. When he arrived at the office there, ICE agents detained him.
There is one lucky moose in New Hampshire. That’s because snowmobilers spotted the young female stuck up to her neck in a snowbank. The group, seeing her distress, took 20 minutes to dig her out, freeing her. They had been riding their machines in the North country at the time of the rescue.
More bad luck for one who was once known as Randy Andy That’s Former Prince Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The latest is his arrest By Police in England on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He had been stripped of his royal title by King Charles III, after being linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Police said that it was assessing reports that he provided trade info to the now deceased Epstein. His name was featured on some of millions of documents now released in relation to their investigation of the convicted sex offender. For his part, King Charles III issued a statement that the law must take its course.
While the Pentagon has Made its forces available for a possible strike on a Iran, President Trump is said to have not made a final decision on that. The crux of the issue is the US demand that Iran stop getting a nuclear weapon. Press secretary Caroline Leavitt said that diplomacy is the best option, and that Iran would be very wise to make a deal with President Trump and the administration.
