Update: It’s the largest wildfire in two decades in New Jersey, and has forced evacuation of thousands of people in one fire location. It has also closed off 17 miles of the garden State Parkway,
Route nine, 532, Lakeside Drive, Jones Road, Bryant Road and Route 72. 11,500 acres of Woodland have burned at the Jones Road fire in Ocean County. As of this time, it is 30% contained according to fire officials, and another fire, in Vineland, New Jersey, so far has burned 1372 acres and is 80% contained. At this report, no structures have been burned.
